Notes for October 10, 2008

Discussion about keyboarding.  Sites mentioned uptoten.com.  Starfall.  Discussion about what the schools are using now, if anything.  Expectations from the classroom teachers and the like.  Coordination and attention spans were discussed.  Commercial products, Type to learn.  Mavis Beacon. Master Key.  Type to Learn Jr.


Talked about Google Apps for schools.  Julie D.  migrated her school to this platform, especially the email.  Google Apps is a great way to collaborate online.

We also experimented with Bonjour and iChat.  We discussed other social networking sites such as Twitter.  Julie shared NASA's Twitter.  Webspiration.

Discussion about where and who would host the next DEEP.  David Davis volunteered.  A rough draft was discussed about everyone sharing 1 digital project with group, app and utilities.
