Weekly guest presenters from differing religious and cultural backgrounds and policy perspectives

 

 

Religious pluralism and disputes regarding religion in public life demand greater skill in handling topics in religion and ethics in educational settings.  Topics include church-state issues, religion and science, sex education, school prayer, students’ and instructors’ rights/ responsibilities with respect to religious expression, and related topics.

The instructor, Robert Osburn, has a Ph.D. in comparative and international development education from the University of Minnesota (2005), and has worked at the interface of religion and higher education for many years.
