Our Mission
To repair, design and build medical technology with the goal of improving access to healthcare in developing communities.
We aim to achieve our mission through a number of activities:
1. Design projects meant to address unmet medical needs in developing countries. To learn more about our low-cost surgical lamp, see Activities.
2. A survey of need that is sent with medical school groups and other groups around campus who travel to developing countries to work on medical, engineering or social change projects. The survey provides us with information about healthcare needs that we can use to generate new design project ideas. To view the survey, please click here. Contact us if you are part of a group going abroad and want to take our survey along!!
3. Volunteering at World Medical Relief to sort, test and repair medical equipment that is then sent to countries in need across the globe. To read more about our activities at World Medical Relief please see World Medical Relief Repair Trips.
