Tinyplots

Tinyplots are over-arching RP stories that involve multiple participants and typically last longer than the duration of a single scene. TPs can be staff-run or player-run, global and nonglobal. Both staff and players must submit an application prior to running global TPs.

Staff-run

Plots tagged as staff-run-plots (run by the TP Wiz or a Plot Helper) vary by scope, length, and rewards for participation. They will be made known to players prior to their participation. Staff-run plots always use the stat system for combat scenes and carry with them all levels of danger for IC consequences, up to and including death. Certain scenes may be designated as no-injury or no-death.

Player-run

Player-run-plots (PrPs) and scenes are always permissable without prior staff approval, with the exception of global plots, which need an application. Rules for PrPs are flexible and vary by GM, although certain rules do apply for all PrPs.

Nonglobal PrP Rules
  • Rewards such as XP, special abilities, magical artifacts or other items given to characters to keep after the end of the plot must be staff-approved. At the end of a scene, GMs may go to the XP room and request XP for characters after providing a scene summary.
  • If conflict arises over IC consequences or consent, staff reserves the right to a full retcon of the PrP.
 Global PrP rules
  • Every 5 weeks until the plot conclusion, the GM will submit a summary of events that happened in that IC time to staff.
  • GM usage of book characters is permitted with prior staff notification.
  • Rewards such as XP, special abilities, magical artifacts or other items given to characters to keep after the end of the plot must be staff-approved. At the end of a scene, GMs may go to the XP room and request XP for characters after providing a scene summary.
  • Possibilities of and limitations to major IC consequences (such as no character death) must be agreed to by GM and participants prior to running scenes. If conflict still arises, staff reserves the right to retcon parts of the PrP.

Tinyplot Participation

Because of the nature MUSHes, active players will have their characters feature more prominently in TPs. It also happens that such characters, over time, become stars of the show. This may limit the opportunity for new players to establish themselves on the game. Thus, characters are allowed to participate up to five +events per month.

Character caps guarantee that the GM has the ability to interact significantly with each character during a scene.
