| What's the theme and what does it mean to adhere to it? If you go on
our front page and read the intro to the game, that's what the theme
is. Keeping to theme
means to fit your character and plots to that feel. This means if you
want to explore a character's severe psychological trauma from rape and
physical abuse, this probably isn't the game for you. Angels and demons
and aliens from outer space don't belong here, but we're sure there are
other games that fit your tastes. When should I submit an application? Applications for things such as powerful skills (Animagi, Occlumency) that come from canon will generally require an application. Anything that is your original invention should generally be applied for. When you submit a character application, the staff will request you fill out certain applications if they apply to your case. Sometimes the need to fill an app develops through RP. Some good rules of thumb: Why can't I apply for an Order of the Phoenix member?
All OotP members are recruited on a IC and OOC basis. We look for characters who will work well with the existing Order members, who embody Dumbledore's core values of love and loyalty, and whose players can handle IC consequences, even death, gracefully. How should I apply for a werewolf? Under Beings and Beasts, put 'werewolf' for race. Indicate in the character history the date they were turned into a werewolf. |
