To those that govern:

You have mortgaged my future without my consent, to pay for wars of aggression against a foe you do not understand.  I and my peers, in our innocence, must pay the blood debt you have incurred in the name of our safety and security.  

You have forsaken the council of our forefathers and forged a treacherous path leading us directly away from the principles this nation was founded upon.  You have pursued personal enrichment and power at the expense of innocent babes.  You have sold generations into bondage over a debt that cannot be paid.

You have forsaken your sacred oath to protect and uphold our constitution.  Rather than abide by the measures provided to lawfully change the nature of our government, you have chosen to simply ignore the highest law in the land.  You have wrought a bloated, wasteful, bureaucratic, oppressive, inefficient, and unconstitutional federal government.  What is worse, is that generations of Americans have let you do it. 

You have so muddied the face of our great nation that I can scarcely see it to admire it.  I must turn to history to find admirable traits.  Things have become so bad that most of my generation lacks the excitement or patience to look there, to history, to find solace and inspiration.  Instead, we are cut adrift in a sea of apathy searching for role models, finding few. 

Please, go home, read the constitution and its amendments.  If you do not writhe with guilt at the thought of the abomination you have helped to create, do not even return.  We do not need or want you any longer. If you do return, please take this opportunity to clear your names and undo some of the damage you and your fathers have wrought; else, posterity may not find it in its heart to forgive you.

We will remake this broken world in our image, but please do not make our task impossible.  Remember, you are comfortable and well fed.  Your job is not to further yourself any longer; you have made it.  Your job is to protect the unborn by providing them with a prosperous, free republic to inhabit and cherish.  

Where has the responsible citizen gone?  

Are there no more patriots?
