The 350XL can be used for Diesel engines with the following provisions:

1. The engine MUST be hot. DO NOT use this on a cold engine
2. Watch the smoke levels, the probe may need a particulate filter if smoke levels get too high
3. Limit the time to say 5min at a time.
4. Watch the temperature, the standard probe supplied is 1000 degC which is fine, but if a low temperature probe is used it may get too hot for the probe

The 350XL can be used on Natural Gas and Diesel engines , but it should not be used on Petrol engines.
