The unit will turn on

Select Which transducer you are going to use.
Three are supplied with the kit.
- M102
General Purpose
- M106 Thick
Composites and Fibreglass
- M2008 Thiner
Composites and Fibreglass
You may need to experiment with each probe to determine which is the
most appropriate.
To configure the unit you will need two test pieces of the same
material which you want to test that each have known thicknesses. One thick
and one thin.

A list of transducers will appear
|

Use the Up and Down
arrow keys and select the transducer which you have decided to use
|

Press
|
Enter
|
|

Press
|
MEAS
|
|
- If you are
using the M2008 transducer hold the transducer in the air and press Zero briefly
|
- Place
couplant on the thick material.
- Hold the
transducer to the thick test piece
- Wait for a
stable reading
|
|
Press
|
CAL(Setup)
|
If locked appears press MEAS then 6&3 together to unlock
|
|
Press
|
VEL
|
CAL & VEL will appear on the display
|
- Enter the
known thickness of the thick test piece using the keypad
|
- Place
couplant on the thin material.
- Hold the
transducer to the thin test piece
- Wait for a
stable reading
|
|
Press
|
CAL(Setup)
|
|
|
Press
|
ZERO
|
CAL & ZERO will appear on the display
|
- Enter the
known thickness of the thick test piece using the keypad
|
|
Press
|
MEAS
|
This will save the calibration figure
|
