Logging Procedure.

Setup

  1. Press Setup
  2. Select Store Mode > Press Enter
  3. Select DATA LOG > Press Arrow keys the Press Enter
  4. Select Settings > Press Arrow keys the Press Enter
  5. Select S232 > Press Arrow keys the Press Enter
  6. Set (Use the Arrow eys to set these values)
    • Data Rate: 19200
    • Data Bits: 8
    • Stop Bits: 8
    • Parity: NONE
    • HANDSHAKE: XON/XOFF
  7. Press Enter
  8. Press Exit
  9. Press Exit
  10. Press Store
  11. Set a file name using the Arrow keys and Enter when complete
  12. Select the trigger type .. either Periodic OR Key Press. If Periodic select the interval between logs and the number of points logged
  13. Press F2 to start logging.. 

Download

  1. You need an RS232 port on the PC loaded and installed. You need to know what the port number is.
  2. You need a 1:1 RS232 cable
  3. Connect the DPI610 to your PC using the cable
  4. Click Start>Programs>Accessories>Communications>Hyperterminal
  5. Enter an Appropriate file name
  6. Set Connect using: to the appropriate communications port number. Click OK
  7. Set
    • Bits per second: 19200
    • Data bits:8
    • Parity:None
    • Stop Bits:1
    • Flowcontrol:Xon/Xoff
  8. Click OK
  9. When the logging is completed
  10. Press Recall.
  11. Use the Arrow keys to select the file to download
  12. Press Enter
  13. Select F1 Text
  14. On the PC Select Transfer>Capture Text
  15. Enter an appropriate filename
  16. Select F2 Transmit
  17. The recorded data will appear in Hyperterminal on the PC
  18. When the data has been transfered on the PC click Transsfer>Capture>Stop
  19. The data wil be available in the filename you set using Hyperterminal
