Transcritical has extensive experience with heat transfer technology, particularly for high pressure and temperature applications, and non-Newtonian fluids such as slurries. We have software for sizing and rating of individual units as well as the capability of detailed modelling using SysCAD to quantify the performance of a unit in the context of the whole plant operation and indicate optimal operating conditions, or benefits of unit upgrades. We can also perform on-site data collecion and analysis using portable data monitoring equipment.

We represent the Barriquand company, manufacturer of PLATULAR® Heat Exchangers, all-welded plate packs that offer the performance of normal plates combined with the higher temperature and pressure ratings of tubular exchangers. Barriquand units find wide application in the mineral processing industry because of their suitability for slurry handling, but have many other applications in situations where heat transfer performance and compactness combine with higher demands in temperature and pressure rating.
