TIME:               All Day (9:00-5:00) Come early/stay late (some left after 7:00!)

WHERE:         Sandy Beach at the Mystics in Medford (approx. 4½ miles from Club)

                                                (in case of rain--party will be at Tohoku – Call Voice Mail, if in doubt)

WHO:              All Tohoku Members, their immediate families, invited (by senseis) guests

FOOD:            Each family brings a food item for the buffet table, preferably something ETHNIC.  We’re fortunate to have members from all over the world—let’s make this an International Buffet, bring plenty—we’ll be eating ALL DAY! (the club supplies paper goods & plasticware).

DRINKS:         Everyone should bring drinks and ice –it gets very hot out (no alcoholic beverages permitted).

FACILITIES:     --          Sandy Beach is okay for wading (lifeguards are not on duty)

                        --          Bathrooms, Plenty of Parking, Plenty of Play Space,

--          There are no public tables at the park so if you have some portable  tables, feel free to bring them.  Barbecue Grills allowed and we have one

BRING:            --          Lawn chairs, Swimsuits & towels, Sunscreen & Bug Spray

--          GAMES/TOYS:   baseball equipment; volleyball, Frisbee,  horseshoes, judogis are OK too!

DIRECTIONS  -- 

From Rt. 93N

·         Take exit for Rt. 16 Medford (it’s a long exit ramp, stay to the left.) 

·         Go past—concert shell on your left, go through lights with baseball field on your left, continue straight through lights, and now stay in the right lane.

·         Go through the lights with Wild Harvest Grocery store on your left

·         At the next lights take a right onto Boston Ave—go to the very end. 

·         Take a left onto High St. (Rt. 60)

DIRECTIONS  --  From Rt. 93S

·         Take Exit for Medford Square, RT. 60 and stay on Rt. 60 (High St.)

·         Going through Medford Sq., around Winthrop St. Rotary, through West Medford Sq., and pass St. Raphael Church on your left.   Refer to boxed area above

DIRECTIONS  --  From TOHOKU

·         Take Somerville Ave. to Mass. Avenue. and follow all the way to Rt. 16—then take a right onto Rt. 16.

·         Stay on Rt. 16 and then take a left onto Boston Avenue go to the very end and take a left onto High St. (Rt. 60).   Refer to boxed area above

DIRECTIONS  --  From Rt. 2

·         Take Rt. 60 Exit for Arlington and follow Rt. 60 thru Arlington Center, cross over Mass. Ave., go pass St. Agnes Church on your right at first Rotary go half way around; next Rotary go three-quarters around and take— Mystic Valley Pkwy.
