The Farm School
a learning community

The Annual Farm School Holiday Bazaar

Saturday, December 5th, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

  • Unique, affordable hand-crafted gifts from vendors throughout Tennessee
  • Delicious Vegetarian food available throughout the day
  • FREE Children’s Craft Table

Each year, vendors from throughout Tennessee bring their unique, high-quality wares to The Farm School for one day only.  This is a fantastic opportunity for Middle Tennessee residents to find unique gifts for everyone on their shopping list. Many people travel to the Holiday Bazaar each year to take care of all of their holiday shopping in one place! It’s also a wonderful chance for local folks to visit and learn more about The Farm, an intentional community that has been a local cultural phenomenon since 1971.

Coffee and breakfast breads will be served in the morning with vegetarian lunches and desserts available throughout the day.  Also available is a free Children’s Craft Table where kids can make their own holiday themed crafts while adults take their time to see the diverse assortment of goods being offered.

All vendors donate a percentage of their sales to the Farm School in what has become their major fundraiser of the year. As always, support of The Farm School contributes to a sustainable future for our local community.

The Farm School is located on The Farm Community at 151 Schoolhouse Road, Summertown, TN, 38483. The Farm is an intentional community which was established in 1971 through a grassroots pioneering effort. It is a cooperative community situated on approximately 1750 acres, mostly wooded, located in a 45-square mile second growth, hardwood forest in rural Tennessee.

For directions, go to http://thefarmcommunity.com and click on “about The Farm.”  For more information, you may email the school at thefarmschool@gmail.com, or call Michael at 931-964-2325.

There is an 8 1/2" x 11" poster for the Bazaar and a template for quarter page flyers attached on this page. Please feel free to distribute these to anyone who may be interested in coming down for the event.
