Carlos returned to playing trumpet about 8 years ago and played three years with the East Bay Community Concert Band in Hayward.  He is currently playing with the Pleasanton Community Concert Band and has been for the last five years.  He is going on his 2nd year as member of The Cooltones Big Band.  Carlos has also played with the Temple Hill Symphony Orchestra (Mormon Temple Church-Oakland) on three separate occasions and with other ensembles.
