Welcome to the Triangle Youth Ultimate League!

The Triangle Youth Ultimate League’s mission is to provide the youth of the triangle area with an opportunity to be physically active by competing in and learning about the game of ultimate frisbee.  Although the focus of the league is primarily the physical aspect of ultimate frisbee, it is essential to the league that fair play, sportsmanship and teamwork be highly regarded by all participants, coaches, observers, parents and staff.

Brief Outline of the League:

• 5/6th , 7/8th, 9-12th divisions - coed
• June 21st-Aug 16th (approximately)
• 6 teams per division:  max of 20 players per team
  
• 5 weekish season and a post season with championship play
  
• Games on Saturdays (or possibly Sundays)
  
• insurance, t-shirt, disc
• Coaches from the community
• End of season celebration
  
• Cardinal Gibbons Fields (4 fields), will rotate between 2-3 other sites (hopefully all free). Looking at Durham and Chapel Hill for two more field sites
• Budget to be finalized (must secure field sites first) - no more than $40 a player

• Will try to form teams two weeks before start of season to allow for practices
• Teams will be formed using players from similar geographic areas
