CUTS Data In Education Workshops

Workshops:

 9:30AM-12PM-First Break Out Session (choose one of the two classes)
    1. Using Basic SQL for Educational Reporting (a basic SQL course) in the PC Lab at the Woodward Lawrence Esplin and Jim Back
    2. Managing a MS SQL Server 2008 (hardware requirements, installing the server-with reporting services, backing up/restores, rights, importing data, server performance tuning, basic reporting, etc.) room 204 in the Woodward Ken Kirkeby.  
12:30PM-3:00PM-Second Break Out Session (choose one of the two classes)
  1. Using more Advanced SQL for Educational Reporting (an intermediate to advanced SQL course) in the PC Lab Lawrence, Ken and Jim Black
  2. Managing an open source SQL Server (mySQL)-hardware requirements, installing the server, backing up/restores, rights, importing data, server performance tuning, etc.- in room 204 at the Woodward (bring your own notebook) Jeremy and Scott

  1. Implementing and supporting UTREX and SAMs in your district-in the PC lab at the Woodward-Kelly, Marcus and Derek
  2. Securing your database server-in room 204 at the Woodward (bring your own notebook)-Thom G.

  1. Discussion on PowerSchool best practices in room 204 at the Woodward Paul
  2. Discussion on SIS best practices in the PC Lab at the Woodward Cory and Derek
