1) Ask Questions and Define your Task!

Welcome!

This site has been built to support you in your study of diseases.

Your task:  Use the Big6 Research Process to learn about a disease and its:
  • causes
  • symptoms
  • spread
  • effects
  • treatment
  • prevention
So, imagine you are a doctor discussing a disease with a patient.  Please prepare a presentation to explain to that patient what she should know about the disease by discussing the topics above.  You may present your information by choosing a format below:
  • powerpoint  (open and save the template "attachment" at the bottom of this screen)
  • poster
  • information pamplet (booklet made with Publisher)
  • photostory  (please plan your FIST time to make sure you have enough time to complete your project)
  • other format approved by the teacher

Big6 - 1
With the task above, what are the QUESTIONS you need to form to guide your research?

Research Choices:
Follow the teacher's instructions for choosing 2 topics:  a "practice topic" (in light print below) and a "project topic" for presenting to the class (in dark print.)
