The time has come to put all of us to the test! The coaches have worked extra hard ensuring proper instruction and levels of fitness for the long day.I believe our kids are prepared to once again rise to the challenge and become Champions once again!
One of my favorite sayings: Life's battles don't always go to the strongest or the fastest: Sooner or later those who WIN are those who think they can!
This individual team sport they call Track has brought many of us together to accomplish many things and none more important than banding together and pledging for points to WIN the battle against Cancer! Our kids have an amazing positive energy and with one idea we are able to transform that energy as a way to give back! Your unbelievable support of this endeavor has been over whelming! I'm excited to share with you what the kids were able to accomplish, once the result are tabulated.
Our kids are strong, and they are fast and they think they can WIN, what an unbelievable combination to put on the track and in the field!
Enjoy reviewing this year's line-up for Sunday's meet and make sure you LEFT double click on the the speaker shown on the first page in the upper left corner! That surely will get you fired up!
All 100/200M and field event participants need to be at Southview track no later than 12:15. All others,no later than 2:15. If you'd like to join the team for the infield parade 12:15.
Linda Martin has been working all week on providing food and water for everyone! Make sure when you see her, let her know how much you appreciate her effort!
Our best has yet to come!

Wow! Mother Nature has been really good to us over the last two weekends! We scored over 350 point even without our junior teams going long distance. In fact, next week in the championships each and every relay team we put on the track will play a very important roll in our success as we go for the Championships! I thought overall the hand offs looked much better, the timing, the communication and the transition. As I said at our very first indoor practice, we can never practice hand-offs enough. You all impressed the coaches this week with your execution, a job well done, team!
Notable Achievements:
- Cadet Boys High Jump -- Jason Kimmet placed 2nd and cleared 4’6” tying the school record. One more inch and you’ve got it!
I’ve attached the results for your review! Great job team! The ribbons will be coming through the school mail, look for them soon!
Your best has yet to come!

I’d like to let you know we accumulated 487 points in Saturday’s meet! The St. Pat's School reported over 420 participants and 100 those were from St. Joseph of Sylvania. You certainly can tell our kids are well coached all across the board! We scored points in every event, but two! Our kids also seemed more prepared to engage in the meet this week, thank-you! All of the kids did a great job! The placing ribbons will again be distributed through school. Also speaking of ribbons, we were short 80 ribbons from the Tiffin meet and we are attempting to get them from the Tiffin officials for distribution as well. Thanks for your patience. For more details of all the events and results please see the attachments below!

Dear Parents, Participants and Coaches,
Have the kids well hydrated and ready to go for Sunday! Carbo Loading the night before is a great idea! Please review the information provided, this communication should assist in addressing your questions moving forward! I hope all of you enjoy the day, the kids and coaches have really worked hard! I think you'll see an exciting meet with all of the kids doing well.
From Toledo: East on Ohio Turnpike to Exit 6. Follow signs for Route 53 South. Proceed south on Route 53 for 22 miles. Follow 53 into Tiffin until it crosses State Route 18. Turn left on 18 and follow to South Monroe St. Turn right on South Monroe and watch for school on right. Stadium is behind school.
I've attached Event line-ups and Tiffin Relays Schedule of Events Sheet for your review. You do not pay for the participants, only non-participants pay. Your fees from the first of the year covers the cost of all meets.
We are expecting a pleasant weather day for the meet. (SUNSCREEN) Look for a white tent across the field on the opposite side of the entrance and stadium. I'll bring bottled water for all. I'd suggest everyone pitch in and bring healthly choices like fruit, energy bars and other items that will prepare kids for along day. They will have grills set up under the stadium and consessions as well.
SUGGESTED ITEMS FOR TEAM CONSUMPTION AND WHO SHOULD BRING WHAT!
Cadet & Juniors Girls- Fruit such as bananas, oranges, grapes, apples.
Cadet & Junior Boys - Energy Bars, Nuts,Mini Candy Bars.
Coaches- Tent,Tables and beverages, such as bottled water, bottled gatorade.
Have a safe trip and enjoy the fellowship with family and friends!

Below are the results from the dual meet at Timberstone. The information came to me without times for the running events. Because we do not run hurdles in CYO we gave each team 18 points to begin the meet. A team would score 5 points for 1st place, 2nd place 3 points, and 3rd place 1 point. Relays 5 points 1st place, 0 for 2nd and 3rd place. This is the first time in History of CYO Track and Field at St. Joe's we competed outside of CYO. I thought our kids did well. The final score for Junior Boys: Timberstone 59 St Joseph 54. : Junior Girls: Timberstone 72 St Joseph 42. Both relay teams for the Junior Girls deserved more than 0 points for that show, Great job Girls!
