DJSCOE, established in 1994, is one of the premier unaided engineering colleges, affiliated to the University of Mumbai and managed by Shri Vile Parle Kelvani Mandal (SVKM); one of the best educational trusts in the country. DJSCOE has excellent infrastructure, dedicated faculty members and supporting staff to conduct the undergraduate courses in engineering. At present the college conducts B.E. courses for more than one thousand students in seven branches including Production Engineering.

The college and its individual departments are affiliated to several Professional bodies; ISTE being one of them. The ISTE chapter was established at DJSCOE in the year 2000. The chapter has since conducted successfully many summer and winter schools, seminars and workshops for both faculty as well as students
