Welcome to the Southwest Virginia Home School Athletic Academy Web site
Serving home schooled student-athletes
in the Roanoke Valley and surrounding areas
Southwest Virginia Home School Athletic Academy is an interdenominational Christian sports organization that was created in the fall of 2000 to provide opportunities for homeschooled students to compete on a competitive interscholastic level. Because we are an interscholastic program, the average time commitment for each player per sport is approximately 2 hours per day, 4 nights per week for the duration of the particular sports season, plus travel time. The boys soccer and volleyball seasons traditionally run from Aug. through Oct. The boys and girls basketball seasons generally run from mid to late Oct. through early March. Girls soccer runs from March through May.
Who we play
Our teams compete in the Virginia Association of Christian Athletes, a 21 member organization. For more information on the conference, click on About VACA in the navigation menu. We also play against other Christian schools in the Roanoke Valley, New River Valley, Lynchburg area and Staunton area.
