Tranquility, located on Green Turtle Cay, Bahamas is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath home with a loft and spacious deck facing the beach, less than 10 yards away. Our home was completed in March 2003, and designed to give panoramic views from all locations within the house of the beautiful, turqouise waters of the Atlantic.

Just steps from the house you will find yourself on a private and peaceful beach. Explore the nearby cay with the new Ocean Kayaks. The small reef, just off our beach is packed with tropical fish, and is perfect for snorkeling. Other nearby activities include diving and fishing, as well as the laid-back island atmosphere of New Plymouth, the native Bahamian town (circa 1790) on secluded Green Turtle Cay.

Tranquility sleeps 6 to 8 with a king-size bed in the master bedroom, which also has a private balcony, a queen-size bed in the guest bedroom, a queen size trundle bed in the living room, and a queen sleeper sofa in the loft. The house is tastefully decorated in tropical wicker and rattan and is completely furnished with all linens, kitchen utensils, games and plenty of reading material. Tranquility has all the mainland comforts: central air-conditioning, all kitchen appliances, ceiling fans throughout, satellite tv, dvd player, and chest type deep freezer for all the fish you'll catch!

Green Turtle Cay is approximately a one hour flight from several locations in Florida. Once you arrive at the Treasure Cay airport, a five minute taxi ride takes you to the ferry dock. A four mile ferry ride across the Sea of Abaco will bring you to Green Turtle Cay where you will be met by our caretakers. They will help you get settled in and will be happy to acquaint you with their island and our home.

The Master Bedroom is bright during the day, perfect for reading a novel when you've had to much sun. It's dark as only an island can be at night. Leave the windows open for perfect sea breezes and wave sounds day or night.

This is a picture of the house taken from the barrier island that shelters the beach. On the oceanside of this island, the water drops to 30 feet, and provides some of the most spectacular snorkeling and reef diving anywhere in the world. You can see the tip of the sea kayak at the bottom.

The second suite is a restful retreat, with sunny windows, and a lovely breeze. 

The loft has a pull-out sofa that sleeps two at night, and provides a perfect spot to play cards, let the kids setup a board game, or watch a DVD during the day.

 The beach is literally steps away from the door.
