To download MSN Live Messenger, you have to: - Visit Microsoft's website;
- In the live services page, uncheck all the annoying options such as 'use live search as default search' blah blah;
- Download a "live installer" - it's not what you want, dude;
- Open it and uncheck some annoying options such as 'set msn to homepage' blah blah;
- "Preparing to install"... wait, what are you installing, man? Messenger? Sorry, no;
- A list appears with some shits like msn toolbar... OK, let's check msn messenger now.
- Downloading... and probably you'll fail because that shitty live installer wanna put itself on your desktop. Whatever.
- Run it again... and then installing... Microsoft rules, man.
Microsoft makes installing a software three or four times more complex to show that currently they are in charge, because if they are not, no one will give a damn of what they are doing. BTW, to install an IM client, in OS X you only need to download and run the adium installer, and in Ubuntu 'sudo apt-get install pidgin' will do the trick - btw iChat and Pidgin should be already in your OS. So ridiculous. |
