Here is the link to the NCBI website that has the listing of genetic diseases on each chromosome. This is the website the 8th grade is to use on their projects.
UPDATE 12-30-08: Please note that I am uploading curriculum maps for parents and students to access to check on our class progress through science this spring. Please use them to periodically check on what knowledge your student should be studying during any given month.
- UPDATE 12-21-08: It is my New Year's Resolution to keep my website regularly updated for students as well as parents to check in on the class' progress in science knowledge! I am now moving my entire lesson plans to online format whereas they were written before. Please also check in from time to time for other new information on curriculum and field trips.
- FYI: I have found a great new Google search engine that searches the national database of patents! This is directly related to science. It is a little addicative, so be careful! :) It is fascinating, though. Have fun!
