Speed Fingers Typing Contest

During Computer Classes

The winner is the middle school student that earns the highest score between a typing game and a typing speed test.

The typing game will either be Martian City Defenders (#10, intermediate), Fowl Words 2, or QWERTY Warriors 2 (normal mode) and the speed test will be a one minute speed test on our Ainsworth software at school.

  • QWERTY Warriors 2 (normal mode) is the game.
  • Ainsworth (Login with first and last name, choose Tests > Word Processing > Standard > 1 min.)
  • Speed Score = Game Score + (Test score WPM x 1,000)
Typing speed competition will take place during the first part of class, the game competition will be the second part of class.

The teacher must see your game score on your computer screen, and you must print a screen capture. Both must be done to qualify.

All middle school students must participate in this contest.

This contest is scheduled to occur on Thursday, April 30, 2009, winner will be announced on Friday morning, April 30, 2009.
