Course Content – This is a full year course that explores a variety of robotic
systems. Students work with Lego Mindstorm Robotics
kits to learn about mechanical system,
graphical programming language for NXT,
RobotC programming language, logic, motion systems, motor control, sensors, loops, thresholds, timers and gear ratios. Students will participate in
several Robotics Challenges.
Your success in this class is greatly dependent on your maturity, sense
of responsibility and interest. Since
you will not be able to take any robotics materials home, it is very important
that you try to not miss class. If you
are absent, you must find out right away what you missed and what you need to
do to make up the work. A large portion
of the work will be conducted in a team setting and it is important for all
members of the team to fully participate.
All members of the team are equally responsible for any due work, so if
you know you are going to be absent, make arrangements with other team members
ahead of time.
