This course is an effectively designed Advanced Placement course which will give students an analytical perspective on government and politics in the United States and the world. The course involves both the study of general concepts used to interpret politics and the analysis of case studies. It also requires a familiarity with the various institutions, groups, beliefs, and ideas that constitute political reality. The material is intended to correspond to at least one semester of college-level instruction. Students will take the AP exam in May.
