I.                    Clarification of Foundation roles

II.                  Approval of 10.5.08 BOD Minutes

III.                Financial Update from Controller, Angie Deal

a.       Some missing bank statements

b.      Approximate balance as of September CHK: $6,021.50 and SAV: $3,800.00 ≈TOTAL $10,000.00

c.       Family Dinner Nights yield ≈ 1K

d.      History of SRF Accounting

                                                              i.      SRF started with 4K

                                                            ii.      North Country Credit Union CHK: 4K and SAV: 4K

                                                          iii.      4K transferred to SRES account

                                                           iv.      SRF raised ≈10K which was transferred to SRES account

                                                             v.      Final balance for SRF ≈20K (10K in school’s Foundation account)

IV.                PTA Update from PTA President, Melissa Botello-Perez

a.       Goal this school year is 75K

b.      PTA has to spend all money within school less $2,500

c.       Any program put on by PTA has to affect all students all grade levels

d.      For every fundraiser money is applied to a specific program

                                                              i.      Fund Raisers

1.       Innisbrook raised 14K → 3 Programs

2.       Cookie doe- spring fundraiser

3.       Book Fair, 10K-15K goal → money goes to purchasing books

4.       Fun Run

5.       Auction

6.       Canned food drive

7.       They hold little fund raisers as well i.e. Box Tops raises ≈ 1K each

                                                            ii.      Programs

1.       Art Corps – 15K-18K

2.       Assemblies

3.       Parent Education

4.       Fall Festival (which actually raised ≈3k-4k)

5.       Junior Achievement – teaches financial literacy to all grade levels

e.      Melissa will try to updated school community of PTA program expenditures through PTA newsletter

f.        PTA gives a “Gift to School” which can be used for books, teach, etc. school decides

V.                  Ideas/In Progress

a.       SRF newsletter

b.      Cross marketing to parents to help them understand the role and goals of SRF – need to clarify this fundamental concept

c.       Decide on SRF signature event

d.      SRF branding

e.      Use Cindy’s email/vm announcements for SRF announcements

f.        Can use mailing list for announcements as long as SRF covers all costs

g.       Develop SRF banner to be used at ALL SRF functions

VI.                Teacher Liaison- Christina Adamson on Teacher’s needs

a.       Teachers are very happy with PE and music teacher

b.      Will keep SRF posted on any teacher needs (January budget cut anticipated)

c.       Anita- SF Business networking booklet project

d.      Ben- talk to school staff/Cindy regarding writing grants
