Q: What is the Stone Ranch Foundation? The Stone Ranch Foundation (SRF) is a tax-exempt non-profit
organization dedicated to raising the necessary funds for programs that are not
currently funded by the school budget, grants, or PTA contributions.
Q: What is the difference between PTA and SRF? The Stone Ranch PTA does a great job providing programs and activities that enhance the educational experience and help build community at our school, for example Art Corps, Assemblies, Yearbook, Dances, and other events. The Foundation's purpose is to raise additional funds to support projects
and programs that the PTA funds, the school budget, and grants do not cover, for example, staff for music, science & technology and physical education. Funds that the Foundation raise do not have to be used within the same school year as the PTA is required to do. The Foundation can carry over a balance to the next school year. Q: How does SRF raise funds? Primarily, the Foundation seeks contributions from fellow parents.
Funds are also raised from local corporations and through creative
initiatives such as Family Night Out, Trailblazer Treats, Trailblazer Business Directory, Morning treats, and Family Sporting Events.
Q: How can I help SRF? Meet the $1 a day challenge of contributing $200 per child to the Stone Ranch Foundation Fund today. There are about 200 days in a school year, and donating just $1 for each day would benefit our school greatly.
Q: What else does the Foundation do besides raise funds for Stone Ranch Elementary School? Nothing. The Foundation's sole purpose is to raise funds and support the students of Stone Ranch Elementary School.
Q: Can I participate in both the PTA and Foundation? Yes! There is no conflict between volunteering for the Foundation and the PTA. In fact, the PTA and Foundation collaborate on many activities. But again, understand that the sole purpose of the Foundation is to fund raise whereas, the PTA's focus is to hold events and activities the whole school can enjoy.
