Welcome

Welcome to our website. St. John’s is a large Catholic primary school of more than 500 pupils in the South Manchester suburb of Chorlton. Judged “outstanding” on our last Ofsted report, we proudly excel in many areas in and out of the classroom.

Uniquely, we hold specialist sports status (one of the first primary schools to achieve that) and are also Spanish Embassy School of the Year for the UK.

Have a look through our website and we hope you will understand why our motto is “Surrounded by Opportunities”.

We also hope you will see why we are so proud of the achievements of our pupils, staff, parents and friends in making St. John’s such a special community to be a part of.

Go Girls!

St. John's girl swimmers beat off competition from more than 17,000 schools when they raced in the National Championships at Sheffield.
The team of Olivia, Alice, Nola and Megan knocked five seconds off their personal best in the 100m team medley.
They finished 21st on the finals day after qualifying through regional heats, which started with 17,064 fellow primary swimming teams pursuing the dream of national glory.
