Progress with the new school building

Building appeal The new building is now nearing completion. It will provide a new Eurythmy Hall to replace the one lost in the fire three years ago, and five new classrooms. Visitors to the Advent Fair in November who visited the hall were impressed by its beauty and its size, since it is half as big again as the old one. With the much needed new classrooms it will provide an enormous improvement to the school's facilities, while relieving the pressure on the creaking fabric of Hood Manor, which currently houses the eight classes of the class teacher years. Such improvements come at a cost, however, and we are at present about £50,000 short of the sum we need to complete the project. About half of that is needed to complete the building; a similar sum is required both to furnish it to an appropriate standard and to make essential alterations and improvements to the space vacated in Hood Manor. The school's Building Appeal has been in existence for several years, and many people have contributed generously, and continue to contribute through regular payments. So this, therefore, is not a new appeal, but an effort to draw greater attention to the Building Appeal at a critical moment in the progress of our building programme. We need to raise £50,000 as quickly as possible, if the work on the new building is to be completed in time for the new school year in September 2007. There are three ways of giving:
