U-knit-arians

posted ‎‎4 Oct 2009 00:59‎‎ by Louise Rogers   [ updated ‎‎4 Oct 2009 01:28‎‎ ]

We are starting a crafting group which will usually meet on the first Sunday of the month, however because of the dates of our services in December we will be holding the December U-knit-arians on the second Sunday.

Inaugural meeting of U-knit-arians
Sunday 1st November 2009
We will be open from 11.30 a.m. - to finish about 2.00 p.m.
People may drop in at any time

Please bring some lunch to share
Refreshments will be available for a small charge
A donation of £1 is requested each time you attend to pay for materials

The group will meet in the upstairs social room - so you need to be able to walk a flight of stairs to attend.

You may bring something that you are working on and/or try something new.  People will be there who can help with a number of crafts including
  • knitting
  • crochet
  • card-making
We are hoping to do some knitting for charity - blankets and children's clothes.  We are also hoping to make some Christmas crafts during the first two sessions.

Bring along your own ideas and any spare wool, material, card, threads etc to donate to the group.

We will hold a short time of collective reflection in the chapel at about 1.00 p.m. for anyone who would like to attend - those who would like some time on their own may use the chapel at other times.

Be there or be square!
