Open and affirming church homes

The number of GLBTQ congregations has gotten huge! This is great news because chances are better than ever before that there will be at least one near you. The only problem is that there are so many I can't keep up with them all. The list here became tremendously long and no matter how hard I tried, it was getting badly out of date.

The "Church Search" links below have many more listings than I did, can conduct a variety of useful searches, and have teams of people constantly maintaining them to keep them up to date. So rather than try to re-invent something they've already done an excellent job on, I've retired my list of churches. However, if you know of another good resource like these, where folks can search for local GLBTQ-friendly congregations, please let me know.

If you're looking for a church home, you can also try your local yellow pages - call and ask if a church is "open and affirming" or "reconciling." If they don't know what you mean, they probably are not. You can also check gay publications for ads from local churches.

Each resource here has been reviewed, but in the unlikely event that you find one that is not as welcoming as their website claims to be, or find a broken link, please contact me.
