Downtown Maryville Last Friday Art Walk
The Last Friday Art Walk is a recurring event to celebrate the arts on the last Friday of every month in Downtown Maryville. What's unique about it is that it's not just galleries participating. It's also businesses like bars, retail stores, restaurants, theaters, and coffee shops. Each participating business hosts a "featured artist," this includes all disciplines of art; visual artists, performance artists, actors, writers, dancers, musicians, etc. New artists and new art are required each month, which gives the community a new experience each time they come.

Foothills Land Conservancy
The Foothills Land Conservancy is a non-profit organization whose purpose and mission are the protection and preservation of conservation values of natural and productive landscapes in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains and their surroundings. It does so through the acquisition of interests in real property whose values include, but may not be limited to, agricultural productivity, ecological integrity, historic character, or managed public access by gift, purchase, or other lawful means.

Save Chilhowee Mountain
Save Chilhowee Mountain, Inc., is a not-for-profit organization that grew, and is still growing, out of a spontaneous protest that erupted when the public first got word of a developer's plan to build an 80 unit subdivision on the east side of Chilhowee Mountain, the side that faces the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, in Blount County, Tennessee. The sub-division is being carved into a steep mountainside in the Abrams Creek Watershed --- the only watershed containing private property draining directly into the National Park. Abrams Creek, the home of several endangered species is vulnerable, and the scars of bulldozing dozens of acres of mountainside are scars visible from the Foothills Parkway and the center of the National Park. Our mission is to preserve the natural habitat, beauty, and diversity of the Chilhowee Mountain area for the enjoyment of all.
