My name is Mrs. Sharon Houston.  I am a native Tucsonan.  I am married and have three grown children.  I also have two grand-daughters that are the joy of my life.  In my free time I love to take walks with my dogs, read, and attend movies and fine art productions with my husband.  The one activity that we have always been involved with is bowling.  We still bowl,as a family, with our children and their spouses, in a weekly bowling league.

    I graduated from the University of Arizona and earned a BA and MA in Elementary Education.  I taught for six years in the San Manuel-Mammoth School District and thirty-one years in the Tucson Unified School District.  I retired seven years ago, but have returned to teaching in one capacity or another ever since I retired.  It is very hard to give up the teaching profession when you have been working in it for so many years and still enjoy the challenges. I am very honored to be a member of the staff here at the Broadway Sonoran Science Academy. I am looking forward to another challenging and exciting year!
