Welcome to the Class Newsletter Schedule guide. Below you will find instructions on how to setup newsletter types and schedule newsletters to be posted online. Note: To post a newsletter online, you need to first setup Newsletter Types.
Setting up Newsletter Types
-Click on Newsletters
-Click on Class Newsletters
-Click on Add Newsletter Type or Add New button
Newsletter Type – Enter Title for newsletter (ex. on image 3, Weekly Class Newsletter Class A-1.) Once you enter the Newsletter Title, the Page Title box will automatically fill with the same name.
Page Title Image – Use this option to select an image which will show next to the link for the newsletter you will schedule. The image will be shown to the recipients of this newsletter.
Frequency – Select the frequency of this newsletter. This is for your information
Recipients – Select parents or students or both
A. Select the class of which parents or students or both will receive this newsletter. You may select one or multiple classes.
Click on SAVE once you are done.
Modifying Newsletter Type
You can make changes to a newsletter type at any time. To make changes you can either click on the name of the newsletter type or click
on the checkbox next to that newsletter and then click on the MODIFY button. Once you have made your changes, click on the SAVE button.
Scheduling Newsletters
Click on Newsletters and then on 'Schedule Newsletters'.
Click on 'Schedule New'
School – select which division will have access to this newsletter. You have an option to assign it only to specific divisions
Newsletter Type – select the newsletter type form the dropdown.
Access to recipients – the recipients of this newsletter will be automatically selected once you select the Newsletter Type above.
Newsletter Title – enter a name/title for this newsletter
Newsletter Description – newsletter description is optional
Attachments – click on the Attach link to locate the newsletter document on your computer. We suggest that you upload files in PDF format. PDF format is easy to read and print. You can add up to three attachments per newsletter.
Send Date – select the date for when this newsletter should be available online to its recipients. This is also the date the e-notification will be sent out if you choose to.
E-notification – select this checkbox if you would like an e-notification to be sent out. This general e-notification will be sent to the recipients letting them know that this new newsletter has been posted online for them to see.
Click on SAVE
Once you have saved the newsletter, you will be taken back to the Newsletter Schedule page. You can use the Newsletter Schedule page to manage all newsletters. Here you can modify them or delete them. Just select the newsletter you want to make changes to and click on the appropriate action button. |
