SOINmail

This file is an instructional “Quick Start” guide to using SOIN-Mail v2, the new version of SOIN-mail.  SOIN-Mail incorporates a “Microsoft Outlook frameset” and is combined with advanced technologies to provide the coolest in web mail capabilities.  Let’s Get Started Using SOIN-Mail v2. To open your SOIN-Mail, click on the SOIN-Mail icon or the new message indicator.

Read your e-mail (two ways)
Reading your e-mail A -
Click on a the subject once, and it will appear in the Preview Pane Move the scroll bar up and down to read the whole message
 
Reading your e-mail B - 
Click on the subject twice, And it will appear in a new “pop up” window. Close the pop up window when done. Use the scroll bar to read the whole message
 
Compose a New Message - 
Click on the “New” button and a New Message pop up window will appear.  
--Type the email address of the person receiving this email in the “To” field. 
--Type in your subject.
--Type in the message body
--Click on Send Message to send your e-mail.
 
Reply to an e-mail- 
First, click on the subject to read the e-mail, then click on the “Reply” icon or click on the word Reply in the message window.  The new message pop up window will appear.
--Write your response to the sender.
--Click on the Send Message button when done.  The reply message window will close and you will be brought back to the inbox.
 
Reply All button -
If an email was sent to you and others, use the Reply All button to send a reply to the sender, plus all recipients, then follow steps for “Reply to an e-mail” above.
 
Forward button -
To send a message you received to a new person, click on the Forward button, then follow steps for “Reply to an e-mail” above.
 
The inbox tells you important information about your e-mails:
1.  A closed envelope and bold text indicates a new, unread e-mail
2.  An open envelope indicates the e-mail has been opened and read
3.  A paperclip indicates the e-mail has an attachment
4.  A “Forward” icon indicates the e-mail that has been forwarded
5.  A “Reply” icon indicates you have sent an reply to this e-mail
 
Deleting e-mail - 
Click on the subject and then click on the Delete button with one ‘x’.  To delete several e-mails: select the messages you want to delete and then click on the Delete button with two‘x’ s.
 
Delete All button
Click on the Delete All messages button to delete everything in your inbox.  You will be asked to confirm deletion. Click on OK to clear your inbox of any e-mail messages.
 
Printing e-mails (two ways)
A. Select the e-mail you would like to print, then click on Print button in order to print out your e-mail message 
Or
B. Open an e-mail message then click on the Print link in the opened message in order to print out your e-mail message
