| 2.1 My Grade Book |
The main My Grade Book page shows you the classes which you teach. For each of those classes you will see the Grade Book Status column. This column indicates the last time you accessed the Grade Book for this class. You will also see an Action column. This column contains two links for each class. The Grade Book link will take you to the grade book of that class and the Modify Profile link will take you to the Profile Modify page of this class. On top of the My Grade Book page you will see the current grading period, current academic year and a link to a Grade Book profile page for all classes. |

| 2.2 Grade Book Profile View |
On the Grade Book Profile view page you will see the grading profile for all classes you teach. You will see the Grading Method, Grading Categories and the Grading Scale. You will also see Grade Book display options and Grade Book copy options.
Modify Profile link will take you to the Modify Profile page where you will be able to make changes to your grade book preferences
Grading Scales link will take you to the page where you will be able to setup your grading scale
Grade Book link will take you back to your Grade Book |

2.3 Grade Book Profile Modify

2.3.1 How to change grading method Click on My Grade Book Click on Modify Profile link located next to the class for which you want to change the grading scale Click on Grading Method dropdown Select the new Grading Method. Note: In case of Weighted grading method you will also need to apply the grading weight to the assignment categories. Click on Save

| 2.3.2 How to modify category Name/Code |
Click on Modify Profile Under Category Options you will see your current Assignment Categories Modify the Category Name and Category Code Click on Save

| 2.3.3 How to add a category |
Click on Modify Profile Under Category Options you will see your current assignment categories Click on the Add New link under the Action column
Enter details for the New Category in the new row. Enter the Category Name and Code. Also remember to select the Grading Scale. If applicable, select the Category weight (in case of weighted average grading method) Click on Save

| 2.3.4 How to delete a category |
On the Grade Book Profile page locate your assignment categories Click on the Delete link in the Action column next to the category which you want to delete Confirm the deletion

| 2.3.5 How to change category weight |
Locate the assignment category for which you want to change the weight Change the value in the Weight column for the selected category Ensure that the combined weight of all categories equals to 100% You can click on the Weight Equally button to apply the same weight to all categories in this class

| 2.3.6 How to set Grading Scale |
Click on Modify Profile Under Class Options click on the dropdown for the Final Grading Scale Select the grading scale Under Category Options click on the Grading Scale dropdown Select the grading scale for each category Click on Save once you are done

| 2.3.7 How to change Grade Book Skin |
You can personalize your grade book by changing the Grade Book Skin. Grade Book Skins are simply different color choice you can apply to your grade book. Click on Modify Profile Scroll down to Display Options Select new Grade Book Skins for the dropdown Check the Preview of it Click on Save when done

| 2.3.8 How to set display options |
You can personalize your grade book by changing how different items are to be displayed. Here are some things you can choose from:
Grade Book Display Order: Assignments - select Ascending and the assignments will be displayed latest to the most recent Assignments - select Descending and the assignments will be displayed most recent to the last date
Students - view students Ascending or Descending of Last Name
Assignment Paging - select how many assignments will be displayed on one page. You can select to show all assignments or show 10, 20, 30 assignments per page. You can then click on a page number to view more assignments
Repeat Student Names - select if the grade book should repeat student names and after how many assignments. This becomes handy when grading an assignment.
Show Category Percentage - select if the grade book should show you the average percentage of each category. This will be displayed next to the Final Grade
Calculate and Show Final Grade and averages - each time you grade an assignment or make changes to your grade book profile, the grade book recalculates the final grade and averages. If you set this option to NO, the grade book won't recalculate these values and final grade will not be displayed to students.

2.4 Grading Scale Setup

Click on My Grade Book Click on Grade Book Profile Click on Grading Scales
On the Grading Scale Setup page you will see currently available grading scales. Click on Add New to add an additional grading scale
Enter Title and Description of the new grading scale Enter Grade and Grade Description Assign minimum score to each grade Assign an optional grade image/sticker to be used with this grade Click on Save

Click on Grade Book Profile Click on Grading Scales Locate the grading scale you would like to make changes to Click on Edit Make the necessary changes and click on Save

Select assignment type from Assignment Type dropdown Enter assignment Details (Comments are optional) Select assignment Due Date and Post Date Include attachments (optional) Click on Save Assignment to save assignment or Click on Save & Grade to save and grade this assignment

| 2.5.2 How to grade an assignment |
Click on My Grade Book Click on the Class Name Click on the Grade link under the assignment for which you wish to enter grades
Assign a number of Points for this assignment If assignment is extra credit, select the Extra Credit check box and the Points value will become zero Select the assignment status from the dropdown. You can select from Submitted, Absent, Incomplete, etc. Enter total marks earned. Grade will calculate automatically based on this Click on SAVE to save the grades and continue grading or Click on Done to save the grades and exit the grading mode

| 2.5.3 How to use "Fill Down" |
You can assign the same assignment status and/or grade to all students, by using the Fill Down option. While in grading mode, select the assignment Status for the first student ex. select Submitted Now click on the small, black arrow which is located next to the assignment status dropdown Once you click on it, the same assignment status will show for the remaining students in the class

| 2.5.4 How to enter comments for student |
While in Grading mode click on the Comments Icon 
There are two ways you can enter comments for students: - Enter your own personal comments - Select from a list of comments

To enter your own personal comments simply type in the text in the text box provided and click on Save
To select from a list of available comments follow these steps: Search for available comments by entering a keyword in the Keyword text box ex. good Click on GO Comments which contain the word good will show Select the comment you would like to use and click on Insert

The selected comments will now show in the comments text box Comments appear in the narrative form using the student's name and appropriate pronoun (he/she).

If you know the Comment ID, you can search by that also. Enter the comment id in the Comment ID text box and click on GO The appropriate comment will now show in the comments textbox. Repeat the same steps for adding additional comments |

| 2.5.5 How to set a sticker |
While in Grading mode click on the Comments Icon  From the Grade Image dropdown select the image you would like to use as a sticker The selected image will show in the Image Preview If the image is OK, click on the Save or Select a different image from the dropdown

| 2.5.6 How to set Grade Publishing Date |
Grade Publishing Date is the date when grades for a particular assignment will be available to students and parents online. This means that you can grade an assignment today but select a future date to show the grades. |
While in grading mode, locate the Publish Grades checkbox. It is located right below the Assignment Marks box If you do not wish to show students and parents grades for this assignment, uncheck the Publish Grades checkbox and the grades will not be shown. If you want to show the grades, select the Publish Grades checkbox and select the publishing date from the date dropdowns Click on Save

Open the Grade Book for the selected class Locate the assignment which you would like to update Click on the Update link Make changes to the assignment and click on Save
