3. Grade Book Formulae
Grade Book Final Percentage calculation depends on the Grading Method. Following are the formulae used,

Terms
SP = Assignment Score in points
SM = Assignment Score in percent
TP = Assignment Total in points
AW = Assignment Weight
CP = Category Percentage
CW = Category Weight
CWS = Category Weight Sum
EC = Extra Credit Assignment score

3.1 Points based grading
Final Percentage = {[(SP1 + SP2 + SP3 + ... SPn) + (EC1 + EC2 + ... + ECn)]/(TP1 + TP2 + TP3 + ... TPn excluding EC)}*100

3.2 Points based Weighted Average
CP = {[(SP1*AW1 + SP2*AW2 + SP3*AW3 + ... + SPn*AWn) + (EC1 + EC2 + ... + ECn)]/(TP1*AW1 + TP2*AW2 + TP3*AW3 + ... TPn*AWn excluding EC)} * 100

CWS = Sum of category weights for all categories where at least one assignment is graded. (Equal to 100 if all categories are graded).

Final Percentage = (CP1*CW1/CWS + CP2*CW2/CWS + CP3*CW3/CWS + ... + CPn*CWn/CWS)

3.3 Marks based Simple Average
Final Percentage = [(SM1 + SM2 + SM3 + ... SMn) + (EC1 + EC2 + ... + ECn)]/(# of assignments excluding EC)

3.4 Marks based Weighted Average
CP = [(SM1*AW1 + SM2*AW2 + SM3*AW3 + ... + SMn*AWn) + (EC1 + EC2 + ... + ECn)]/(AW1 + AW2 + AW3 + ... + AWn in a category excluding EC)

Note:
If "Drop Low Grades" functionality is enabled (DropLowest > 0) then assignments with scores less than the DropBelowScore are not considered for the above calculations.
