To access SOIN, you must log-in with the username and password provided by your school.
Announcements, Newsletters and Photo Galleries are accessible from either the icons on the top of the page or from the various dropdown menus on the left side. Click on the various icons to navigate to those pages.
If there is a new announcement, users will see the animated speaker with “Announcement -click here” link displayed. Click on it and the announcements will open. The Announcements page opens showing new announcements. Select the Announcement and click on ‘View’ to read. To access newsletters, either click on the Newsletter icon, or click on ‘Newsletters’ from the left-side menu.
The newsletter page opens. Any newsletters that have not been viewed by the user will be indicated by a small ‘new’ sign outlined in blue. To view the newsletter, click on the red link under the Newsletter details column.
PLEASE NOTE: It is necessary to have adobe reader installed to view PDF attachments (indicated by the red A icon next to the link). Users can click on the ‘Notes:>>’ link to find a link to download adobe reader if it is not currently installed on their computer.

The SOIN Photo Gallery is a way for teachers and administrators to share photographs of school events and activities with parents. There are two ways to access the Photo Gallery: the Photo Gallery icon at the top of the homepage and the left side menu.
Click on the album title (in red), to open a photo album. The album opens. Click on the ‘Click here to see the slide show’ link to view a full-screen slide show, or click on a single image to enlarge it.
In Addition to the school’s Photo Gallery, there is My Photo Gallery. My Photo Gallery contains albums that have been shared with the parents in a certain class or classes. My Photo Gallery can be accessed by clicking on the under the Photo Gallery icon at the top of the homepage. You will see the links to the School Photo Gallery and My Photo Gallery.
By clicking on the ‘My Photo Gallery’ link, you will open My Photo Gallery, which contains albums that have been shared with you, but not published to the school. Open albums as explained above, by clicking on the title (in red).
To view your student’s report cards, you must be logged into your SOIN account with your username and password. Click on the ‘Report Card View’ item form the left-side menu.
The Report Card View page opens. Please be aware of the two Helpful hints: your browser must allow pop-up windows from this website and Adobe Acrobat Reader must be installed to view the report cards: click the link if you don’t have it.
Click on the View link next to the report card you would like to view. The Acrobat Reader program will open and display the selected report card. The comments may be found on page 2. You can print or save the file on your local computer by clicking the appropriate icon. |
