Our seanson has ended for this year.  Thanks to you all for a great experience.  We will contact you as the Spring season approaches.

Note that as it now stands all players born in 1997 will move up to the Strikers League.  We will address how to preserve as much of our team as possible as the fall season starts.

We will hold our team party at the Mt. Carmel La Rosa's at 12:00 PM, Saturday 11/3.  We will provide pizza, drinks, and a trophy to all players.  We encourage families to attend, but we ask parents to be prepared to pay for parent and sibling meals.

We are ready for tournaments this weekend.  I have posted the updated schedule and assignments.  See you there!

The Firehawks are on a roll, but we end the season against two tough teams.  The boys are demonstrating the skills we have learned in practice in each of the games.  We are very pleased with the level of the boys' team spirit, enthusiasm, and determination.

We will find out more about the tournament soon.

After a great game, there is not much to say.  However, Rick would like to add an extra practice on Tuesday 10/9 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at our usual practice field (two practices that week).

We played wonderfully at our last game.  The boys are demonstrating the skills we work on in practice.

From Rick, regarding Sunday's game, without exception, every single boy played his heart out, giving 110% -- and I can truly say that every boy played exceptionally well.

An exciting game, and our first win.  Congratulations to all the boys for their hard work.  We saw the boys perform things we practiced on Wednesday, so we are glad things are beginning to stick.

All Juilfs 3 games have been moved to Riverside 10.  Riverside is on Round Bottom Road in Newtown.  Please see the maps for directions.

Our photo shoot will be Saturday 9/15 at 4:30 PM, just before our game, at Kellogg fields.  Please report to our regular field at 4:30.

After a nice holiday, we are ready to resume practice and play.  Please note that this weekend is our other Sunday game.  Please also take note of the snack and drink assignments posted above.  The complete drink schedule is also available.

The score from Sunday reflects the relative skill of The Crew and Firehawks, but does not reflect that the boys played with courage even when down by 9.  We are confident that we will be able to give teams like this a challenge later in the season.

The team played wonderfully Saturday, especially considering it was our first time playing together.

Please be sure to wear black shorts and black socks the the game Saturday.  Rick will be bringing the shirts and new socks, but there is a chance that the socks will not have arrived by then.

I have made drink and snack assignments.  Thanks to the Timmons and Dierringer families for stepping up and taking care of that this weekend.

I have updated this site and our calendar with our schedule. 

NOTE: I have used "Helicopter Park" for Union Township Veterans Park, and "Veterans Park" for Anderson Township Veterans Park.  Please be careful not to get the two parks confused.  We only practice at Helicopter Park, we only have games as Veterans Park.

Our first game is Saturday 8/25.  We have not yet received the schedule, but as soon as we do, I will send it out and post on this site.

• Tuesday 8/14 5:30-7:00 PM on our same field
• Tuesday 8/28 5:30-7:00 PM on our same field

Please note that these are not required practices but are an opportunity to work with Rick one-on-one to increase skill in the basics or advanced moves as appropriate to each boy's skills.  If these two go well, Rick will schedule additional opportunities.  I think it reflects Rick's love of the game to dedicate this extra time.  Please come if possible.

We have secured a practice day and time: Wednesdays 5:30-7:00 PM at Union Township Veterans (Helicopter) Park.

We have also been sponsored by the Anderson Township Fireman's Assocication, which will enable us to purchase new uniforms for the team.  We will rename the team, too.

We have player cards for each parent and player to sign.  We will your signatures at our first team meeting (TBD).

We are looking for another Assistant Coach (good pay and benefits!).  If you are interested, please contact Roger.

The event info above will be updated to reflect the latest information about weekly games and practices.  Please check it before leaving the house to make sure there hasn't been a change.  If there is a last-minute change, we'll try to call, but this site is your safest best.
