        Rhyme-of-the -Week:  Eat an Apple (-ore)
        Letter: A a (as in apple!)
       
        Color word: green
Flashcards:  Practice the flashcards sent home.  Begin by saying the names and sounds together.  Then students will begin to say them on their own.  After they know them well (as quick as a snap), write the upper and lower case letter separately on flashcards (without pictures) and practice.
 
 
Monday  Draw a picture of something that begins with the sound of letter A.  Today we'll record all the things we already know about apples as we begin our several week study on apples.
 
Tuesday  2PM Dismiss (FTTM)  Library. Cut out a picture of something that begins with the sound of letter A.
 
Wednesday  One day this week we will be making an apple treat for snack.
 
Thursday Picture Day! 
 
Friday Mass.  Bring sharing in a bag (something that begins with the sound of A, if you can.)  Yoga today with Mrs. Sara.  Students may want to keep this in mind when dressing for the day.
