Kindergarten ChallengeAfter testing each student for the names and sounds of the upper and lower case letters (104 points), I have discovered that our class average is 88%.  I think this is awesome for so early in the year!  All of your hard work is paying off.  We will be having a classroom celebration as soon as we get to 90%.  Keep up the great work!

Keep on Counting:  Students have made great progress in recent weeks.  Remember, even if your child can count to 100, you can help them keep on counting to 200!  Also, counting by 10s, 5s, and 2s are coming up next.  The 100th day of school usually comes around the end of January.  At that time each student will be required to bring in a collection of 100 items (anything from buttons to bottle caps).  If you start now, the collecting will be a lot more fun and you will have time to emphasize double digit numbers and counting by groups of 10.

Wednesday   Veterans Day!  We will walk to the KofC Hall and sing some songs for the veterans before their luncheon.

Thursday 2:00 PM Dismiss. No afternoon buses. Yes, ASC.  4:00-7:00PM Parent Teacher Conferences.   I have a really beautiful book about Squanto that compare his struggles to that of Joseph's and reminds us all that God has a plan for our lives.  What man meant for evil, God can turn to good.

Friday  No School.  Enjoy your long weekend!  I am off to California to see my grandbaby!
