P IS MY FAVORITE WEEK: There will a lot going on this week. Maybe it is a good thing it is only four days! Thursday is Pajama Day. In the afternoon we will have a read-in. We welcome guest readers! Let me know if you (or grandparents, etc.)are able to come and read your favorite picture book to the class. We are flexible, but before or after lunch would probably be a good time to have guest readers (11:30-12:00 or 1:00-1:30).
Monday Draw a picture of something that begins with the sound of P. We'll be making mini pizzas this week. Do you like pepperoni or peppers on yours?
Tuesday Art with Mrs. Jochem. Cut out a picture of something that begins with the sound of P. Penguins make great parents and so do ours! We'll be reading about penguins and writing about how our parents help us.
Wednesday . We'll be reading and comparing several versions of The Three Pigs. My favorite is The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig!
Thursday Pajama Day! Wear your favorite pajamas to school. (Remember to bring appropriate shoes for recess, if your child plans to wear slippers.) We will be making pancakes in the morning and having our read-in during the afternoon.
Friday No School. First Day of Deer Season. |
