Theme Book: A Seed in Need (Sunflowers, plants)
Religion Theme: The Lord's Prayer

Please remember to sign and send in permission slips for the walking tour of Mt. Sterling on Tuesday.  I'm sorry those were sent home so late!
Please remember there is a $5.00 cost to go to the Read in the Park Day in Quincy (To cover t-shirt, lunch, and book).
Monday  Art with Mrs. Jochem today!  This week we will be learning about how plants grow.  We are growing zinnia seeds that Mrs. Geisler helped a plant and recording our observations daily in our science logs.  We also have painted lady butterfly caterpillars and are watching and recording their development.
Tuesday  11:30 Dismiss Kindergarten Only.  We will have a walking tour of Mt. Sterling today (weather permitting).  We'll go to the Post Office, Police Station, Library, and Fire Station (hopefully)  and pick up a snack at Casey's and play at the park behind the Court House.  I'll send home orange t-shirts for Read in the Park Day tomorrow.  Our school is the only one with orange and so in a group of 90+ kindergarten students, it makes spotting SMS students easy.  This afternoon next year's kindergarten students will come for Round-up.

Wednesday Read in the Park Day!  Wear your orange t-shirt!

Thursday  This is the only "normal" day this week.  We will make a diagram of the parts of a plant.  I'll send home Ag Day t-shirts.

Friday  Ag Day at Brown County Fairgrounds (Rain Date is Monday).  Wear your Ag Day t-shirt! Even though we have Mass today, it is okay to wear jeans (if it doesn't rain).  Bring sharing in a bag (your choice).
