Nick Austin will be in the hospital in Memphis until the end of the month. We will be writing him and you may want to, too. This week we'll be talking about the life cycle of a frog.
Wednesday Awards Banquet 5PM. As you may have noticed, we have been practicing addition. We are switching between using touch points and manipulatives (we try to avoid using fingers.) At the beginning of first grade (if not sooner) the students will begin to memorize these math facts and move away from using these crutches. They are all doing extremely well and seem to really enjoy math.
Thursday POWER OF PURPLE DAY! Wear as much purple as you possibly can (we are at a definate advantage with the high percentage of girls in our class!) We are also collecting loose change in our class to donate to the American Cancer Society. Art with Mrs. Jochem. |
