HOMEWORK

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK: As you can see by the flier that was sent home, the week will be a little crazy.  Hopefully the students will have fun and look forward to CSW each year.  Since the students know their letters so well, we will continue to have a letter of the week, but then the following week we will not.  We will instead concentrate on 100.

Letter: X, x (like in the final sound in box)
Theme Book: Warthogs in the Kitchen
Rhyme: Peter, Peter Pumkin Eater (-ell we did this rhyme before, but I now have more supporting activities with the -ell rime)
Memory Verse: (Golden Rule) Love God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.  Love your neighbor as yourself.  Matthew 22:37, 39

Monday Wear a Pair, share a pair (Bring a new pair of slippers for the Vet's Home-male and female-and wear a pair of slipper to school.  Remember to bring tennis shoes for recess and only one pair of donated slippers is necessary per family.)  We'll have doughnuts with community workers this morning to show our appreciation for all they do.  Family Skate Night for Andersons, Austins, Barfields, and Boylens 3:15-5:00.  Please draw a picture of something that ends with the sound of X (ks).

Tuesday  All School Skate this afternoon.  Might want to wear sweats, because they are probably most comfortable (at least for those that spend a lot of time on the floor!)  Cut out a picture of something that ends with the sound of X or just the letter X.

Wednesday Family Skate Night for the Hams, Hulls, Kassings, Kochs, and Reeds 3:15-5:00.  We will visit the book fair today.  You can send money, but usually it works better if you will have a chance to visit for yourself on Saturday evening before or after Mass.

Thursday  Wear red, white, and blue.  Thank you for all your generous donations to the service members' care packages.

Friday  Mass.  Bring sharing in a bag (letter X or free choice).

Saturday  Open House (4:30-5:15).  Mass (5:30-6:30).  Spaghetti Supper (6:30-7:30).  Book Fair.  Hope to see you there!
