Theme Book: The Grouchy Ladybug
Religion Theme: Easter Season Upcoming Dates: You will want to pay close attention to the last week of April and the first week in May. There are several variations to the regular schedule. April 29- 11:30 Dismiss May 1-Grandparents' Day-Students will leave after lunch with their grandparents. If your child will not have a guest that day, let me know ahead of time so that I can plan to spend time with them. May 5-Walking tour of Mt. Sterling AM. Kindergarten students will go home at 11:30 so that we can have Kindergarten Round-up in the PM with next year's students. May 6-All day in Quincy at Read in the Park Day. May 8-Ag Day at the Fairgrounds (AM or PM)
Monday For the next two weeks we will be having dance classes with Ms. Sara (made possible by the arts grant from the Tracy Family Foundation). The final performance will be for Grandparents' Day, May 1st.
Tuesday We will continue to learn about the Monarch butterfly migration to Mexico each year. We will also watch the transformation from caterpillar to Painted Lady Butterfly in our room and record our observations.
Wednesday We will discover the life cycle of the ladybug and begin to make some generalizations about insects. Vocabulary will include head, thorax, abdomen, antennae.
Thursday We will be acting out more addition problems and begin some addition problems with manipulatives and touch points.
Friday Mass. Bring sharing in a bag (free choice).
