Reiki is an ancient method of energy healing based on the idea that though energy cannot be created nor destroyed, it can be manipulated and transformed. Reiki, like Shiatsu massage, aims to remove blockages and balance out the body's chi for optimal physical and emotional health. During a session, a Reiki practitioner accesses a universal, divine energy that threads through and connects us all, and simply channels it into their patient (or themselves!) This workshop will teach you how to get in touch with this energy, as well as the positions for the 'laying of hands' involved in this technique. Learn to channel a healing force into your clients; Reiki is an excellent adjunct to massage! This workshop will be 4 hours long, at the end of which each person will be 'attuned' and certified as a Reiki Level One Practitioner.

Participants are encouraged to abstain from drinking alcohol 24 hours prior to the workshop and to get a good night's sleep the night before.
