Minga Lily

Minga Lily has spent over half her life living and traveling extensively throughout Southeast Asia and India. Growing up in Thailand she was steeped in Thai culture, language, and Buddhism, where at the age of 8 she was introduced to meditation and began studying and performing Traditional Thai and western dance.

She returned to the states to pursue her higher education which culminated in her degree from Yale University where she studied psychology, child development and womans’s studies. In 1992 she was drawn back to Thailand where she embarked on an intensive study of Yoga, Meditation, and Traditional Thai Bodywork; while living amidst indigenous Lahu people in northern Thailand.

Her teacher and close friend Ashokananda (author of The Art of Traditional Thai Massage) is arguably the most influential ambassador and leading teacher of Thai Massage to the west. Ayurvedic concepts, cleansing diets, yoga practice, and nutrition are influential in her healing work with her clientèle. She currently teaches and studies Yoga therapy with Integrative Yoga Therapy.

Minga is often accused of being a healer’s healer and currently works throughout the U.S., regularly teaching workshops in Traditional Thai Massage, women’s wellness, and partners Yoga.

Since 1995 she has based herself in Los Angeles and continues her bi coastal practice with children, healers, professionals, yogis, medical practitioners, dancers, chiropractors and artists.
