Sarah Vosen graduated from the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, CA with a Master's of Science in Asian Medicine in the Summer of '07. During the master's program, she also completed 1000 hours of massage therapy training from the Pacific College of Oriental medicine in San Diego, CA.
A Minnesotan, former chemical engineering major, and an admitted "science geek" Sarah Vosen came to the Tao Healing Arts center as an Acupuncturist in the summer of 2008. Sarah initially experienced Chinese medicine as a recipient of herbal therapies. Seeing an improvement in her own health, she was drawn to chinese medicine, and to acupuncture in particular because of its blend of art and science. Like science, acupuncture requires inherent problem solving, and iterative questioning that shapes the diagnosis.
The art of matching the appropriate combination of tools (needles, herbs, moxibustion or massage) to the condition and the person, is icing on the cake. Before coming to the Tao, she spent a year traveling to share her love of AcroYoga, Massage Therapy and Chinese medicine with the world.
During a 5 month trip to India, she volunteered as an acupuncturist at the Ananda Nagar clinic in Pundag, West Bengal, as well as supporting yogis with bodywork treatments in Goa. After India, she visited a few cities in Europe, as well as London, by personal invitation to co-teach AcroYoga to existing yoga communities. Sarah Vosen currently teaches acro-yoga community class at the Tao Healing Arts.
