The summer short course is a 3-week program specially designed for those interested in learning the basics of Shiatsu-Anma Massage therapy. This program includes introduction, professional instruction, demonstration and hands-on practice. It is the ideal program for couples, friends, family or therapists wishing to enrich their repertoire. 24 hours credit from the summer short course are transferable to the Diploma A program.
Shiatsu Anma Practice (Technique & Practice) 18 hours demonstration and practice of whole body massage in sequence of two forms: Short Form and Long Form.
Shiatsu Anma Theory (Vital Point Locations & Indications) 2 hours definition, history, principles, preparation of practice, contraindictions & precautions. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) 2 hours introduction of the characteristics, Yin and Yang, fundamental substance of the organism, Five Elements, Vital Points, oriental anatomy and physiology. Anma-Doin (Self Healing Art) 2 hours introduction of traditional chinese breathing, meditation, self-massage, therapeutic exercise and prayers. $480 for 24 CEU |
