Traditional Chinese Medicine C - 32 hours Evaluation of TCM through four methods including pulse reading, tongue inspecting, listening and smelling techniques for a variety of complaints such as cold/coughing, gynecological ailments, indigestion, mental/emotional complaints and heart circulatory complaints. Anatomy and Physiology C - 32 hours In-depth analysis of the respiratory, cardiovascular, lymphatic, urinary/reproductive and endocrine systems, pathology, symptomatology and herbology. Myofascial Meridians - 32 hours Tension in a muscle does not end where the muscle ends. Rather tension (energy) gets transferred across joints via continuities of fibers in the myofascia. It is possible to track tension lines that begin in the foot, travel up the knee, through the hip, around the back and up into the neck. This course is an experiential study of 6 myofascial meridians, as defined by Thomas Myers. Gentle Japanese Acupressure- 16 hours This gentle form of Japanese acupressure works with organ meridians and the extremely powerful eight extra channels. It can be used for many conditions where traditional massage and shiatsu massage might not be the ideal modality or as an additional technique to enhance your treatments. In this form of acupressure, we are neither sedating nor are we tonifying-only allowing Qi to find its way through blockages. It balances meridians, nourishes deficiencies, and drains the excess as it flows through the channels. Clinical Study - 24 hours Assessing and practicing Shiatsu-Anma on clients under supervision in our intern clinic. |
